Bitcoin is sitting around $86,000 right now.

And I think people are getting way too comfortable.

We're only about 6% away from $90,000 and roughly 18% away from $100,000.

For Bitcoin, those aren't enormous moves.

That's why I believe the next few weeks could catch a lot of people completely off guard.

$90K Changes the Conversation

I've said I'm watching $90,000 closely.

If Bitcoin breaks through $90K and holds it, suddenly $100,000 isn't some distant target anymore.

And $100K Bitcoin changes psychology.

At $85K, people wait.

At $90K, people start watching.

At $100K, people start worrying they missed it.

And that's when FOMO can take over.

The people negotiating with themselves today about whether they should buy could suddenly find themselves trying to make the exact same decision with Bitcoin $10,000 or $20,000 higher.

The Money Has Already Started Moving

This isn't happening in a vacuum.

U.S. Bitcoin ETFs now collectively hold roughly 1.29 million BTC.

Strategy alone owns 847,666 BTC.

Billions of dollars moved back into Bitcoin ETFs during September.

And none of that changes Bitcoin's ultimate supply:

21 million. Ever.

That's the part I think people continue to underestimate.

More institutional infrastructure.

More large holders.

More demand.

Same maximum supply.

Waiting Has a Price

Could Bitcoin drop tomorrow?

Absolutely.

I'm not pretending otherwise.

But I think people make a mistake waiting for Bitcoin to become completely obvious.

If Bitcoin breaks $90K, then $100K, and momentum returns, the opportunity people are analyzing today could look very different very quickly.

My close crypto experienced friends and my personal year-end target remains $150,000–$200,000 if Bitcoin gets the combination of momentum, institutional demand and improving liquidity I'm looking for.

But I'm personally much more concerned about being positioned before that move than trying to perfectly time the lowest possible price.

Because if Bitcoin does what I think it can do over the next few months, people aren't going to be asking whether they should have waited at $85K.

They're going to be asking:

Why didn't I buy more when I had the chance?

My view hasn't changed: think long, act early. — Prakash
