If you have the financial means to own Bitcoin, I think now is the time to buy.

Not next year.

Not when Bitcoin feels safer.

Not after everyone around you finally agrees it’s a good investment.

Now.

Could Bitcoin drop after you buy it? Absolutely. Bitcoin is volatile, and nobody knows the perfect entry price.

But I’m not thinking about next week.

I’m thinking about where Bitcoin could be 10, 20 and 30 years from now.

And when friends ask me how much Bitcoin I think they should own, my answer is pretty simple:

Make it a goal to own at least one Bitcoin for every member of your family.

One for you.

One for your spouse.

One for each of your children.

If you have the financial means to do that today without putting your family’s finances at risk, I personally wouldn’t wait.

Why One Bitcoin?

The math is what makes this so interesting.

Bitcoin’s issuance is designed to stop at a maximum of 21 million BTC.

That’s for the entire world.

More than 8 billion people. Tens of millions of millionaires. Corporations. Investment funds. Family offices. Pension funds. And potentially more governments and sovereign wealth funds over time.

UBS’s wealth research already counted almost 60 million USD millionaires in its 2025 report, and its newest report says nearly another one million millionaires were created in 2025 alone.

Think about that.

There aren’t even enough Bitcoin for every millionaire to own one.

And we’re talking about buying one for each member of your family.

I believe there will come a time when owning one full Bitcoin is extremely rare.

That’s why I don’t want to wait until everyone else figures this out.

My Kids Completely Change How I Think About Bitcoin

When it comes to my children, I’m not buying Bitcoin based on what I think the price will be next month.

I’m thinking decades ahead.

Will Bitcoin eventually be worth $1 million?

$5 million?

$10 million?

Nobody knows. Those are predictions, not guarantees.

But I believe the potential is significant enough that I want my children participating if I’m right.

I’d much rather buy Bitcoin for them now than have them come to me 20 years from now and say:

“Dad, you understood Bitcoin this early. Why didn’t you buy any for me?”

That’s a conversation I never want to have.

If You Can Afford It, I Wouldn’t Wait

I know plenty of people who have the financial means to own Bitcoin and still own zero.

They’re waiting for another crash.

Waiting for a better entry.

Waiting for more regulation.

Waiting until Bitcoin feels less risky.

Waiting until someone gives them permission to feel comfortable.

My question is:

What exactly are you waiting for?

By the time an investment feels completely obvious and comfortable to everyone, the opportunity can look very different.

I’m not suggesting putting your entire net worth into Bitcoin. I’m not suggesting selling your house and putting everything into BTC.

I’m saying that if buying Bitcoin represents a financially reasonable amount of your wealth, I think this is the time to be accumulating it.

I would rather buy Bitcoin and tolerate the volatility than spend the next decade watching adoption grow while waiting for the perfect price.

Can’t Afford One? Start Anyway.

This is where I think a lot of people make a mistake.

They see the price of one Bitcoin and think:

“I can’t afford Bitcoin.”

You don’t need to buy an entire Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is divisible into 100 million satoshis.

Start with $500.

Or $1,000.

Then do it again next month.

Get to 0.1 BTC.

Then 0.25.

Then 0.5.

And eventually work toward one.

One Bitcoin can be the destination. It doesn’t have to be the starting point.

If your family has multiple children, maybe one Bitcoin per person sounds impossible today.

That’s okay.

Start.

Build.

Keep accumulating.

The goal is what matters.

Think About 2046, Not Next Week

Twenty years from now, I don’t think my children are going to care whether I bought Bitcoin 5% cheaper or 10% cheaper in 2026.

They’re going to care whether we owned Bitcoin at all.

That’s ultimately how I look at it.

Bitcoin for me.

Bitcoin for my spouse.

One for each of my children.

That’s the minimum standard you should have.

If you can’t afford that today, start accumulating toward it.

But if you can afford it?

I think now is the time to buy.

There are only 21 million Bitcoin.

There are already far more millionaires than Bitcoin.

And the number of wealthy people in the world continues to grow while Bitcoin’s maximum supply does not.

I believe there will eventually be millions of families looking back at this period wishing they had accumulated more when they had the opportunity.

Don’t wait for Bitcoin to feel obvious.

Think long. Act early.
